Not many days before, Google has released a new algorithm update and it has taken world of SEO by storm. It has been funnily named as “FRED” by them, some love it and some hate it. Whatever, it is going to be there for long. It has made rankings of many websites to drop drastically. One thing was common between adversely affected websites- a low quality link profile. Fred seems to relate the quality of a website, in accordance with the sites linking back to it. While a strong link profile has high domain authority back links, low quality backlink sites are being seriously hit by this new algorithm.


Google does not boast about the regular changes, a subtle acceptance of some big change by Google has bought a sudden fluctuation in rankings of many sites and web pages. SEO companies are witnessing high tides in the ocean of Google rankings.  It will be early to comment on the long term implications of this latest update of Google, it can be surely said that it is targeting the black hat SEO stuff in order to remove web spam.
