A schema markup generator is a tool that turns details about a page, such as a product's price, an article's author, or a business's address, into structured data written in schema.org vocabulary. This one outputs JSON-LD, the format Google recommends, so you can paste it into your page and help search engines and AI systems understand exactly what your content is about.
With this free tool you can:
Choose the mode that fits your task. Each takes about a minute.
Start with the type that describes the main content of the page, then add supporting types. Use the most specific type that fits, for example Dentist instead of LocalBusiness.
| Page or business | Recommended schema | What Google can show |

Google has simplified its search results several times. These changes decide which markup still changes how your page looks in Google:
What this means for you: focus your effort on types that still earn rich results, such as Product, Review snippets, Recipe, Event, JobPosting, VideoObject and Organization. Retired types are still valid schema.org markup and do no harm, but they will not add a rich result. The generator labels every type so you always know which is which.
Structured data is not a direct ranking factor, but it makes your content easier to understand, easier to attribute, and eligible for richer search listings.
Review stars, prices, availability, recipe cards, event dates and video thumbnails make eligible listings stand out and can lift click-through rates. Google decides when to show them, so valid markup makes a page eligible but never guarantees a rich result.
Featured snippets and voice answers come from clear, well-structured page content. Schema supports them by making facts unambiguous. Learn the full approach in our answer engine optimization guide.
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews mainly read visible page content. Structured data helps by clearly identifying your organization, authors and products. See our guide to LLM optimization or test your site with the AI Search Readiness Checker.
LocalBusiness markup confirms your name, address, phone number and hours on your own website, reinforcing the details in your Google Business Profile. For Maps rankings, see our local SEO services.
Product markup with price, availability, GTIN and genuine reviews makes product pages eligible for product snippets and free merchant listing experiences in Google.
Person and Organization markup make authorship and ownership explicit, with links to official profiles. That supports the experience, expertise, authority and trust your visible content should already show.
JSON-LD lives in a single script tag, so it can go in the page head or body without changing your design.
Use this plugin's Schema Markup box on any post or page: paste the code and tick "Inject this schema". If you use Yoast, Rank Math or SEOPress, you can paste it into their custom schema field instead. Use one method per page so the same markup is not published twice.
Paste the script tag into the page template or the head section of the page in your CMS. Google can also read JSON-LD added with Google Tag Manager, but markup in the page HTML is more reliable for every crawler.
All three formats describe the same schema.org vocabulary. Microdata and RDFa are written as attributes inside your HTML, which makes them harder to maintain. JSON-LD sits in its own script tag, separate from your design, and is the format Google recommends. That is why this generator outputs JSON-LD.

Generate builds JSON-LD from scratch using a form, which is ideal when you have no schema yet. Validate checks JSON-LD you already have against Google's structured data requirements and gives you a score, fix suggestions, and the Google rich result status of each type. Import fetches any public URL and extracts every JSON-LD block on that page so you can review, edit, or copy it, which is useful for competitor research or site migrations.
Not directly. Google has said structured data is not a general ranking factor. It helps Google understand your content and can make pages eligible for rich results such as product prices, review stars, recipe cards, event listings, and video thumbnails, which can improve how your listing looks and how often people click it.
Product, Review snippets for supported items, Recipe, Event, JobPosting, VideoObject, SoftwareApplication, BreadcrumbList (desktop), Article enhancements, Organization logos, LocalBusiness details, Q&A pages, and Course lists are still supported. Google stopped showing HowTo rich results in 2023, retired fact check (ClaimReview) and Course info rich results in June 2025, and stopped showing FAQ rich results on May 7, 2026. The tool labels every type with its current Google status.
Google no longer shows FAQ rich results, so FAQPage markup will not change how your page looks in Google Search. It is still valid schema.org markup that describes your questions and answers, and it does no harm. Spend your effort first on clear, visible answers on the page and on types that still earn rich results, such as Product, Review, Event, or Organization.
Structured data helps machines identify entities such as your organization, authors, products, and prices, which can make your content easier to understand and attribute. AI systems mainly read and summarize the visible content of pages, though, so schema supports AI visibility rather than guaranteeing citations. Accurate markup that matches clear on-page content is the best approach.
No. Pick a type, fill the form, and paste the output. The tool handles schema.org conventions such as nested objects, ISO date formats, price currency normalization, and schema.org URL prefixes, so you do not have to learn them manually.
Yes. You can paste the generated schema into the custom schema section of any SEO plugin. If you enable this plugin's auto-injection while Yoast, Rank Math, or SEOPress is active, the plugin warns you so you can avoid duplicate JSON-LD. You decide which one publishes the schema on each page.
Google's Rich Results Test is the final word on whether a page is eligible for Google rich results. This tool helps you build, import, and check schema before you publish, with an approximate preview of how a result could look. Use this tool to author the markup and the Rich Results Test to confirm it after publishing.
The generator builds 25 schema types: Article, BlogPosting, FAQPage, HowTo, VideoObject, Recipe, Review, ClaimReview, SpeakableSpecification, LocalBusiness, MedicalBusiness, Organization, Person, WebSite, Service, ProfessionalService, Product, SoftwareApplication, Offer, BreadcrumbList, Event, JobPosting, Course, Book, and Dataset. All output follows schema.org, and each type shows whether Google currently uses it for a rich result.
Form drafts are saved only in your own browser (localStorage) so you can pick up where you left off. Generated JSON-LD is not stored on our server. URL imports fetch the page from our server to read its schema but do not store the contents. Details are only kept if you choose to submit the free audit form.
Yes. Many pages combine types, for example Article with Person and Organization, or Product with BreadcrumbList. Generate each one separately and add each script tag to the page, or combine them in one @graph. Google supports multiple JSON-LD blocks per page.
Google first has to recrawl the page, which can take from a few days to a few weeks. You can request indexing in Google Search Console to speed this up. Even valid markup does not guarantee a rich result: Google decides when to show one based on the query, the page, and the site. Check eligibility with the Rich Results Test and monitor the Enhancements reports in Search Console.
